Rumors cropped up yesterday that a version of Square Enix's Deus Ex: Human Revolution might be arriving for the Wii U.

A listing on Amazon reported that a "Director's Cut" version of the game would be coming to North America on May 7, for a price of $49.99. It also listed a new feature where the Wii U GamePad would be used to explore Jensen's "Neural Hub."

The product description explained the feature, saying, "Tap into the Wii U's GamePad true potential: Adam Jensen's newest augmentation, the Neural Hub, offers an immersive and empowering experience, right at the tips of your fingers."

Amazon's listing also reported that the Wii U version will be getting overall "improvements, features, and additional content."

Earlier today, Square Enix officially confirmed that the listing is genuine, and that a Director's Cut of Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U. The port will use the console's GamePad for hacking, map editing, augmented sniping, grenades, and the aforementioned "neural hub." The Wii version will also implement developer commentaries and in-game guides (presumably for the new features). Smaller changes include improved boss fights, combat tweaks, better AI behaviors, and overall visual improvements.

Additionally, the two DLC missions, Tong's Rescue and the Missing Link, will both be included in the base game.

Square Enix will of course be publishing this installment, with Australian studio Straight Right as the likely developer. Straight Right is perhaps best known for their work on the Mass Effect 3 Wii port. Deus Ex: Human Revolution was recertified by the Australian Ratings Board last week, although no firm release date has been set yet.
