Almost a month after launching, Nokia's Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 have reached into India.

Nokia India confirmed the two new devices during an event and on social media.

"The Nokia Lumia 520 is the perfect example of expression and color," said Nokia India's Vice President of Smart Devices User Experience Design Nikki Barton, who also noted the Lumia 720 is the "perfect combination of sleek and stylish."

The new Nokia smartphones', which utilize the Windows Phone 8 platform, are expected to run up to Rs. 10,500. Flipkart is selling the Lumia 520 device for Rs. 10,499 and is accepting pre-orders. When converted to the U.S. dollar at the current exchange rate, the price of the Lumia 520 is $193.26. Surprisingly, the Lumia 720's price has not been disclosed.

The Lumia 520 is expected to make its retail debut first for "early April," while the Lumia 720 has a "mid-April" date set.

"The WP8 momentum is building and Nokia is charging ahead with the Lumia series," said Nokia's Director of Smart Devices for India, Middle East, and Africa Vipul Malhotra. "The launch of Nokia Lumia 720 and Nokia Lumia 520 reflects our commitment to build a winning ecosystem that will enrich people's mobile experience and help them connect with each other at newer price points. The two new smart devices will further invigorate brand Nokia with amongst the new generation of smartphone purchasers."

The Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 made their debut during the first day of the 2013 Mobile World Congress.

The launches (of the Lumia 520 and Lumia 720) reflect our commitment to broadening our devices and services portfolio to meet the demands of people and businesses around the globe," said Nokia President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Elop. "By offering better experiences at a more affordable price we are reinventing the battle for affordable mobile devices, and Nokia has the building blocks to win."

The Lumia 720 features a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display with an 800x480 resolution on a WVGA display. The display for the Lumia 720 is said to be very sensitive and compatible while wearing gloves and friendly to nails. The Lumia 520's screen size is 4 inches.
