The road to the Georgia Dome begins Tuesday with the start of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

North Carolina A&T Aggies vs. Liberty Flames

The tournament begins at 6:40 p.m. with No. 16-ranked North Carolina A&T Aggies visiting the 16th-ranked Liberty Flames.

The Flames rallied from an 0-8 start to their season to win the final five games of the season to nab a spot in the tournament against the 19-16 Aggies, who are 5-12 on the road this season.

The Aggies, meanwhile, have rebounded from having several down seasons to nail down their tickets to the tourney. Struggling with another losing season heading into their conference tournament, North Carolina A & T rallied by pulling off four wins in five days to end an 18-year drought and secure its first NCAA tournament invitation since 1995.

Senior forward Adrian Powell leads the way for North Carolina A&T with 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds this season, while junior guard John Caleb Sanders has powered the charge for the Liberty Flames with 14.2 points. Both teams have fought, clawed and scrapped to get into the tournament, and neither one is leaving without a fight.

Saint Mary's Gaels vs Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

The No.11 Gaels (27-6) will have some steep competition on their hands when they host the 11th-ranked Blue Raiders (28-5).

The Blue Raiders came off an upset in the Sun Belt Tournament semifinals to make the cut for the tournament. With a 19-1 record in the Sun Belt this season, the Blue Raiders, with help from Marcos Knight, who leads the team in scoring and rebounding (12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds) won 21 of 22 games during one dominant season stretch and secured the No.11 seed, the highest in the school's history. Middle Tennessee also boasts an 11-3 road record, making them quite at home in enemy territory.

Meanwhile, the Gaels, led by lead scorer Matthew Dellavedova (15.8 points this season) won 19 of their last 22 games this season to nab their third NCAA tourney appearance in four years.
