Daylight, the upcoming horror game from Zombie Studios, will be playable to all those attending the PAX East event in Boston from March 22-24, reports IGN. This will also be the first chance for gamers to try out the Unreal Engine 4, the next big step in graphics and physics processing.

Daylight centers around the premise that the character has to navigate a dark building, using only the light from her cell phone to guide her. The Unreal Engine 4 will randomly generate rooms in the building, so each play-through will be unique. The game promises to be moody and atmospheric, as there will be no combat, and players will have to search for clues about the game's story that are randomly scattered around the environment

Zombie Studios creative director Jared Gerritzen has this to say over the premiere for the public of the game at PAX East:

"We couldn't be more thrilled to be working with Astro with the first public demo of Daylight at PAX East...This will be the first time anyone not on the development team will get their hands on the game, so fans will be getting something really special," Gerritzen said.

Daylight will certainly be a unique game when it becomes available on Steam later this year. The ability of the Unreal Engine 4 to randomly generate rooms makes this game unique every time the player starts a new game. Plus, this will give gamers a glimpse into the future, as the Unreal Engine 4 will be powering many games on the next generation of consoles and games. Add the horror elements of trying to find your way through a dark and dreary building with only a cell phone for light, and this could be one of the best horror games to come out this year.
