Fox Sports anchor Erin Andrews has been used to her fair share of admirers, but a recent on-air encounter with best-selling rapper 50 Cent at the Daytona 500 left Andrews with a little explaining to do.

Andrews was searching for NASCAR female star Danica Patrick during the weekend of the Daytona 500 race recently when she was greeted by 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson.

As she encountered Jackson, the rapper tried to lay a kiss on Andrews, which she appeared to have avoided by turning her head a few times, after which Jackson playfully followed her for a time while she made her way through the crowd looking for Patrick.

"It was my fault!" she told "Access Hollywood" on Tuesday. "Everybody was supposed to be in their spot and then they all went to the bathroom and I was screwed," she said.

Andrews was referring to the Daytona drivers that were lining up to use the restroom prior to the big race. Daytona drivers have to spend about "four hours" in their cars during the race.

As it turns out, according to Andrews, she knows 50 Cent quite well, as the two are business partners through SK Energy, an energy drink company co-founded by Jackson of which Andrews is a spokesperson for. Andrews says that while she was encountering the rapper, "He grabbed me, I went one way, they screamed 'Danica,' I whipped my neck, I got whiplash and it's fine."

As to the speculation that she snubbed the rapper, Andrews denied that, saying, "He's the best. I mean, come on."
