A Pokémon from the sixth generation video games will make its animated debut in the next Pokémon film.

The new Eevee evolution Sylveon will make its debut in the Pikachu short "Pikachu and Eevee Friends," which is the unofficial English translation.

Sylveon will appear along with Eevee and its fellow seven evolutions. The new Pokémon, which will make its video game debut in "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" in October, is shown briefly in a new trailer. The type of the new Eevee evolution is still unknown.

Latinos Post have broken down the Sylevon name in an attempt to figure out its type, and readers have detailed their theories as well.

The debut of Sylveon will also tie in with the return of first generation Pokémon Mewtwo.

The Genetic Pokémon will make a return in sixteenth Pokémon film "Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening." The film's name is the Japanese name, as a direct English title has not been provided yet.

It is unknown if it is the same Mewtwo as in the first Pokémon movie, but bets say it will be. In the new trailer, Mewtwo is seen battling Genesect and both have familiar backgrounds. Genesect was created by the organization Team Plasma based on an unknown ancient Pokémon while Mewtwo was created long before by the organization Team Rocket based on the DNA strands of fellow legendary Pokémon Mew.

"Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening" will feature five Genesects with one in its shiny form. The film will be released along with the Pikachu short on July 13 in Japan.

A U.S. release date for both features has not been disclosed.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" will be released in October across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America for the Nintendo 3DS.
