On March 11th Univision will premiere the new telenovela "Porque El Amor Manda."

The series, starring Fernando Colunga and Blanca Soto, tells the story of Alma Montemayor (Soto) who gets more than what she bargained for when she hires Jesús García (Colunga) as her assistant following his move to Mexico City from Chicago. Jesús tries to succeed in a position for which he is ill-equipped, yet still manages to capture Alma's heart. The two find themselves falling deeply in love despite the inconvenient fact that Alma is Jesús' boss and discover that when love rules, there are no rules.

Colunga last starred in "Soy Tu Duena" in 2011 alongside Lucero and won the Best Leading Actor award at the prestigious Premios TVyNovelas. He also starred in "Mañana es Para Siempre" and "Pasion." Colunga also enjoys a career in theater and recently completed the play "Manos Quietas."

Soto rose to fame after her role in "Eva Luna" which she starred alongside Guy Ecker. She later appeared in the film "Dinner for Schmucks" with Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd. She last starred in the soap opera "El Talisman" with Rafael Novoa, Aaron Diaz and Lola Ponce.

"Manda" also stars Erick Elias (Ni Contigo Ni Sin Ti), Ninel Conde (Mar de Amor), Claudia Alvarez (Dos Hogares), Alejandro Avila (Corona de Lagrimas, Abismo de Pasion), Jorge Aravena (La Que No Podia Amar, Una Familia Con Suerte) and Carmen Salinas (Triunfo del Amor).

Univision released the first 20 minutes of the first episode. The series, produced by Juan Osorio, will replace the Lucero starrer "Por Ella soy Eva" at 8pm EST.
