In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, pregnant reality star Jessica Simpson admitted that though her second pregnancy was a complete surprise, she and former pro-football star Eric Johnson threw protection "out of the window."

The 32-year-old "Fashion Star" mentor laughed with Ellen about always being pregnant and revealed that her finance who always "wanted" her no matter what size.

"I feel like I'm always pregnant," said the reality TV judge.

"The last time I saw you, you were sitting in this chair looking exactly like this. What's happening?" DeGeneres responded referring to an interview that they had a year ago in which Simpson was pregnant with her first child.

"I don't know," said the singer. "Apparently, protection was just thrown right out the window." She continued saying "We're happy. We were definitely extremely shocked."

When asked how it feels to be with child the second time around, Simpson confessed that this pregnancy is more challenging than when she was carrying her first son Maxwell who is now 10 months old.

"It's the complete opposite. With Maxwell, I felt amazing. I could do everything, eat everything," she says. "I had a lot of energy. This time around, I'm exhausted. Eating Tums - that's my snack of choice."

After giving birth and gaining more than 60 pounds, the singer is being more health conscious and has signed on as a spokesperson for Weith Watchers.

"I was doing Weight Watchers and I felt super healthy," Simpson notes. "I'm not really craving as much, [plus] I know how hard it is to get off so I'm trying to make healthier, wiser decisions."

Despite her weight, Simpson says Johnson always made her feel loved.

"Apparently Eric still wanted me," she jokes. "So I can gain as much weight and I will have a husband-to-be that loves me."

In response, DeGeneres pointed to Simpson's baby bump and said, "Apparently he did."

The interview will air on Wednesday.
