If you said you predicted Miami's stunning run into the AP's rankings this season, well you'd be called a liar.

If you predicted the Hurricanes would be a top 10 team, you'd be called crazy.

And if you predicted they'd be in control of their own destiny for a conference title ahead of Duke and UNC, well you'd be rich if you bet on it.

At 23-5 and 14-2 in the ACC, the Miami Hurricanes have already accomplished more than anyone gave them credit for. Yet, here they are, No.6 atop the rankings and eyeing a No.1 seed.

They're an old bunch; it's not even fair to call them boys as some of them approach their mid-twenties. Head Coach Jim Larranaga views it as an advantage to have so many seniors grow with the program, to be able to handle the tough moments with maturity and calm than their wryly opponents.

With a win tonight over Georgia Tech, Miami secures it's title and can celebrate to their hearts content, they've earned it.

Georgia Tech comes into the game with nothing on the line except pride. The little incentive they do have is the thrill of an upset, a possible goal since Miami did just lose to a sub .500 Wake Forest team.

The Yellow Jackets are an impressive rebounding team, so should the shots not fall for Miami, they'll be getting little second chances. Unfortunately for Georgia Tech, they rank 264th overall in points per game and 252nd in field goal percentage.

I'd like to point to an upswing for the GT to say they have a chance, but even as bad as they are statistically, they've been worse over the last four games.

Miami should look to this game as an opportunity for some fine-tuning before the NCAA tournament.

Prediction: I think Miami has some fun with this one as Larkin and Scott along with Kadji put on a highlight reel.
