No.25 Memphis survives a scare by UTEP 

A funny ending to what was a tight game, keeps the Memphis Tigers undefeated in Conference USA and 26-4 overall. 

UTEP's C.J. Cooper had an opportunity to tie the game after being fouled from beyond the 3-point line with seconds left. He missed the first free throw, then made the second. He purposely missed the third in an attempt to rebound the ball and get the win but Memphis' Tarik Black was fouled getting the rebound. 

"We tried to defend them, we had a good defense but Tarik did foul him and it was a good foul that was called by the official," Pastner said. "It just happened (Cooper) missed a couple free throws and we had a chance to win the game. Basketball is just a crazy game, but it's a beautiful game." 

And a crazy beautiful game it was. 

With the Conference USA crown locked up for Memphis, they'll move on to the dance, while UTEP remains in third at 9-6.

No.3 Duke Continues to Roll with Ryan Kelly. 

Netting 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and a block, Ryan Kelly continues his unbeaten streak for Duke. 

Despite only having a slim three-point lead over Virginia Tech at the half, Duke surged to win by 28, 85-57 over the Hokies. 

It was the last home game for Duke seniors, who avoided the scare and celebrated in resounding fashion. 

Seth Curry was on fire from the three point line and Mason Plumlee was down right dominant inside the paint, imposing his will as he seemed fit. 

"We're emotionally spent," coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "We're not as physically spent as we are emotionally. It's been a heck of a thing. ... I'm proud of our guys. I thought the three seniors just asserted themselves in the second half." 

Still, Duke trails behind Miami in the conference, but Duke recognizes that there's more at stake, and it hasn't slipped their minds.
