How can a one-two punch develop into a one two three, five six seven? You'll just have to find out in season 16 of Dancing with the Stars where professional boxer Victor Ortiz will exchange the fighting gloves for some dancing shoes.

Ortiz will be one of 12 new contestants that will star in the new season of the awaited ABC series.

If the Mexican-American boxer doesn't have any Latin flavor in him he should be glad he will be partnered with professional dancer and Utah native Lindsay Arnold who made it to the Top 4 in the FOX competition "So You Think You Can Dance," after impressing judges with her Latin Ballroom moves. It is her time on the ABC show as well.

No matter what, we know that the Welterweight Boxing Champion and world-class athlete will make it far in the competition; after all they don't call him "Vicious" for nothing.

The 26-year-old came from rough beginnings in a small town in Kansas. According to an article is USA Today his parents left home when he was a little kid and that forced him and his two siblings to grow up in the foster-care system.

His mom left first when he was 7, and then his dad became an alcoholic and used to beat them. By the time Ortiz was 12 he had no parents, but this did not stop the future boxer. In fact, it made him hungrier, he told USA Today.

After suffering a broken jaw in his from his last fight with boxer Josesito Lopez this past June and announcing that he will be on DWTS, fans might be thinking that the boxer is done with his career for good.
