Bioshock Infinite's March 26th release date is quickly approaching, and while we probably won't see too many more trailers or screenshots, there are a few interesting updates for fans.
For gamers who are looking to purchase Bioshock for their PlayStation 3, Sony has announced the pre-order bonuses for the title. Pre-ordering Bioshock Infinite, or the game and Season Pass combo pack, will get a free exclusive theme. If you also purchase the Industrial Revolution Gear Pack DLC, you'll receive the original Bioshock as a free bonus.
Those on the Xbox side of things have a few new things to check out as well. Irrational Games has revealed that Xbox Live Avatar gear themed around the upcoming game has been released. For 80 Microsoft Points, players can purchase a Bioshock Infinite t-shirt. For 240 points, you can grab a Songbird Plushie Prop, or Elizabeth's starting attire for female avatars.
If you're looking for something a bit more intimidating, you can also pick up a Motorized Patriot Mask for 160 points, a Handyman Hands Prop for 240, or if you're feeling like treating yourself, a Sky-Hook Prop for 320. For your reference, 320 points is $4, while 80 points is equivalent to $1.
All of these items are available in the Xbox Live Avatar Marketplace.
Lastly, if you want to see something a bit more substantial than cosmetic digital items, Gamespot recently got a behind the scenes look at the work that goes into designing the characters of Bioshock. The featurette delves into the challenges of creating video game characters, both in writing them as well as creating their visual personality.
Bioshock Infinite is set to release on the Xbox 360 Playstation 3, and PC on March 26.
