The all-new 2014 Chevrolet Impala features a complete redesign for the model year that sets the familiar sedan far apart from its more conservative predecessors.

With the addition of some styling cues reminiscent of more luxury vehicles, the 2014 Impala has a more sculpted and refined appearance.

"The momentum at Chevrolet continues to build with the debut of the 10th generation of the Impala, one of the brand's most enduring and cherished nameplates," said Chris Perry, vice president of Global Chevrolet Marketing.

"The new Impala further strengthens Chevrolet's passenger car lineup by giving consumers a full-size sedan that balances the desire for distinction with engaging driving dynamics."

And the driving dynamics provided with the Impala's available 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 303 horsepower also comes with attention to fuel efficiency with 28 MPG on the highway.

The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine gets 31 MPG on the highway with 195 horsepower, while the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with E-assist delivers 35 MPG on the highway with 182 horsepower.

The interior of the redesigned Impala has also undergone some changes and now features a spacious cabin, cockpit-style instrument panel and leather-appointed seats with chrome and wood accenting.

And there are also some technological advances that come along with the release of the new full-size sedan, including Chevy's MyLink infotainment system, Bluetooth functionality, Pandora streaming capability and a high resolution eight-inch touchscreen.

Safety features on the Impala have also undergone some innovations including a stronger steel construction and 10 standard air bags as well as available features like a lane departure warning system, rear park assist with rearview camera and a blind spot alert system.

The new 2014 Chevrolet Impala is expected to go on sale in early spring 2013 with pricing to be released closer to that date.
