The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Plug-in is currently available in the New York and California markets, while the non-plug-in model Is expected to make its debut sometime in the middle of the year.

The plug-in model features an outstanding EPA rating of 124 MPGe in the city and 105 MPG3 on the highway, winning over the Ford C-Max Energi, Chevy Volt and Prius Plug-in --- according to the automaker.

The new plug-in gets 47 mpg in the city, 46 mpg on the highway and 46 mpg combined and Honda claims that is the first production vehicle to meet the strict LEV3 and SULEV20 emissions protocol.

And in all its electric glory, the 2014 plug-in can reach 13 miles.

Aside from the fuel-efficiency, the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Plug-in has also undergone some styling transformations that will make the vehicle stand out.

The front fascia features a speak turquoise accented chrome piece in the center as well as octagon-shaped headlamps. 

A "hybrid" logo also appears on the charging port door and rear bumper, alerting others that you are in fact driving, well, a hybrid vehicle.

An EcoAssist feature on the vehicle allows a driver to push a green button that will configure the engine and other energy-consuming systems in the car to make them run more efficiently. The eco-friendly feature also offers "coaching bars' around the speedometer that lets the driver know how efficiently they're driving technique is.

Pricing for the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Plug-in starts at $39,780 with special lease offerings available as of now.
