Ford debuted the F-150 Atlas concept pickup truck at the Detroit auto last month and while the new vehicle still carries on the F-150 spirit, there are some transformations that provide a glimpse of what is to come for the very popular pickup truck.

The most noticeable change, in terms of styling, is the front of the vehicle that has been outfitted with a redesigned and more ornate grill and LED headlights.

But aside from the changes, the new concept still holds true to the F-150 style hallmarks with its familiar beltline and aggressive proportions.

The concept pickup is slightly wider than its predecessors and will be outfitted with a "next-generation" EcoBoost engine, according to Ford.

And a lot of the redesigned features of the concept factor in functionality with the intent of increased aerodynamics with adjustable shutters on the grille and a dynamic chin spoiler and front air dam.

Each wheel of the concept pickup also features a spring-loaded shutters to help make the truck more aerodynamic as well.

And in regard to other noticeable design changes, there is a redesigned hydraulic frame that comes out of the tailgate to make cargo loading even easier.

The interior of the Atlas concept features leather and innovate floor mats that are removable and made of aluminum and rubber.

Other features that are part of Ford's concept pickup include a 360-degree point-of -view camera that provides a bird's-eye view of the vehicle, LED cargo box and side mirrors, power running boards, hidden cargo ramps and dynamic hitch assist.
