One of the most unique aspects of the Oscar show is the presenters. With the entirety of Hollywood attending the ceremony, it is always interesting to see who will show up. This year promises to showcase a varied batch of stars.
Rope Of Silicon published an extensive list of presenters which includes Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Kristen Stewart, Jane Fonda, Jennifer Garner, Kerry Washington, Michael Douglas, Jamie Foxx, Paul Rudd, Salma Hayek Pinault, Melissa McCarthy, Liam Neeson, John Travolta, Ben Affleck, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, Queen Latifah, Charlize Theron (making a "special appearance"), Channing Tatum (making a "special appearance"), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (making a "special appearance"),Daniel Radcliffe (making a "special appearance")
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo. Mark Wahlberg will also appear with the Ted teddy bear. Last year's Best Actor winners Meryl Streep, Jean Dujardin, Octavia Spencer, and Christopher Plummer will be on hand to present the four acting awards.
The evening will also showcase a number of musical performances including a celebration of Movie Musicals; Jennifer Hudson will perform from "Dreamgirls" while Catherine Zeta-Jones is expected to show off a number from "Chicago." "Les Miserables'" Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks and Helena Bonham Carter will also perform from the Best Picture contender. In addition to the musicals, Barbra Streisand, Norah Jones, and Adele will perform during the ceremony. Jones is expected to sing "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from the film "Ted" while Adele will sing her "Skyfall" song.
There will also be a 50th Anniversary James Bond Tribute. Dame Shirley Bassey, known for singing some of the Bond Songs will also perform during the ceremony.
Seth MacFarlane will be hosting this year's ceremony and claims that he is prepared for the big show. "You know, [it's] just the same way you prep for the SATs," he said. "[I'll have] no prep and get a good night's sleep beforehand... No, I haven't had a good night's sleep in about five months."
The ceremony starts a 8 p.m. EST. The Red Carpet will start a 7 p.m. on ABC even though another broadcast of the Carpet starts from 5 to 6 p.m..
