Looks like Megan Fox and Director Michael Bay have reconciled after a public feud over the "Transformers" movie. Bay announced Friday that the actress will be joining his upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
"TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!" wrote Bay on his website. The film will be a hybrid between live-action and animation and will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman. The Hollywood Reporter states that Fox is slated to play April O'Neil, a reporter and human friend to the Ninja Turtles.
Bay and Fox worked together on the first two "Transformers" movies but the pair parted ways in dramatic fashion after the second film in the franchise. During an interview, Fox compared Bay to Hitler on the film set. "He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is," Fox told Wonderland Magazine. "So he's a nightmare to work for, but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it's endearing to watch him."
According to the Huffington Post, producer Steven Spielberg wanted Fox fired after the Hitler comments; Fox claimed that she chose to leave the franchise. Despite the controversy, it seems that Bay and Fox have remained friends. "She sent me a text three months ago. She said, 'I hope you're doing well.' I responded, 'Who is this?' She goes, 'Megan, you dork!' I said, 'Oh, well, thank you, hope you're well,'" Bay told GQ. "When you're days and months on a set, it's like a family. You say rude things and you make up."
