The Vancouver Canucks will attempt to break their slump when they take on the Dallas Stars on Saturday night.

After a dominant six-game winning streak, the Canucks have lost three straight. Their losing streak started with a 4-3 loss to Dallas on Feb. 12 and the team has managed an addition two 4-3 losses to St. Louis and Chicago. In the latest game, the Canucks came back from a 3-1 lead before falling in the shootout. That game featured a controversial hit from Jannick Hansen on Marian Hossa that eventually saw the player get a suspension from the NHL.   "Obviously, we know he got hit last year," Hansen said. "I think everybody in the hockey world knows that, but again, it's a hockey play and when you go for a puck you go for a puck."

The Stars have played in two straight 4-3 games also. In their latest game, the Stars blew a 3-1 lead against the Calgary Flames and lost. The loss came on the heels of the victory over the Canucks. "It's very frustrating," said Reilly Smith after the loss. "With the big win in Vancouver, it's kind of not worth it anymore because with those two points that we should have had tonight, we let them go."

"It's very disappointing, very disappointing that we didn't come out with two points here at home," added Dallas coach Glen Gulutzan. "We needed to be stronger in front of our net. You got to be battle-ready for 60 minutes. I think we just lost some battles."

This is the second of three meetings between the two clubs. Dallas won the first one on Feb. 12 by the score of 4-3.

Prediction: Vancouver wins this one 4-1.
