In his new memoir, "The Soundtrack of My Life," high profile music executive Clive Davis reveals that he is bisexual. Davis, who is the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment" admits that he had sex with a man in the 1970s in his new book which will be released on Tuesday.

Throughout his career, the 80-year-old music mogul has helped stars like Whitney Houston, Alica Keys and Jennifer Hudson rise to international fame. He has also been married and divorced twice and has three children. However, for the last seven years he says that he has been in a "strong monogamous relationship" with a man.

He also writes that he dated a man from 1990 to 2004, which he says was a "tough adjustment" for his son Mitchell. He says it took "one trying year," for him and his son to reconcile.

In an interview with ABC's Nightline, Davis describes bisexuality as "maligned and misunderstood," adding, "I'm not lying. Bisexuality does exist. For over 50 years I never had sex with a male. It wasn't repressed. I had very good sexual relationships with women."

In the book, Davis also talks about his experiences in the music industry and his time with Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel, Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana, the Grateful Dead and others.

He says that he spoke with Houston in the days before her sudden and tragic death stating that she told him that she was getting her life together. "Maybe I should have been more skeptical," Davis wrote. "But I've always been optimistic, and I felt hopeful. It felt like old times."
