Manchester City enters a pivotal point in its season on Sunday. The English side has fallen behind first place Manchester United in the defense of its premier league title and is not participating in the Champions league any longer. The FA Cup could be the only consolation for Roberto Mancini and company. The team will look to prolong its contention on Sunday when it takes on Leeds United in the 5th round of the FA Cup.

Mancini's job is the central story on Saturday. A number of reports have mentioned that the manager's position within the organization could be on the line judging from his squad's performance on Sunday. However Mancini claims that his job is not in danger.

"In three years we are always on the top - we fight for the title, we have won three trophies, we have the chance to win more this year," said the manager. "All the people who talk about this don't understand football."

He added, "If Manchester City should sack me, the other 20 teams in the Premier League should be without a manager."

The team is the favorite to win its tilt with Leeds United, but the play of late certainly creates concern for Manchester's chances. Mancini's club is currently riding a three game winless streak including a 3-1 loss to Southampton in which Manchester trailed 2-0 after just 22 minutes.

Leeds United entered the FA Cup on Jan. 5in a 3rd round matchup against Birmingham City. The clubs drew 1-1 in the first match, but Leeds managed a 2-1 victory in the replay. In the 4th round, the team stunned Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.

Prediction:  I think this game ends in a 2-2 draw.
