The Boston Bruins will look to extend their six game road unbeaten streak when they take on the struggling Buffalo Sabres on Friday night.

The Bruins are coming off a tough 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Rangers. In that game, the team came back from a 3-0 deficit and scored twice with under two minutes to go to draw even and force overtime. However, the team came up empty in the shootout and had to settle for only one point. "We kind of dug ourselves a hole of our own doing, but at the same time you have to appreciate that we never gave up," said Bruins coach Claude Julien. "I don't think we're going to get carried away thinking this was a great situation."

Boston got goals from David Krejci, Nathan Horton, and Brad Marchand. Goalie Tuuka Rask made 26 saves in the loss. The Bruins are in need of more goals from superstar center Tyler Seguin. The youngster broke out for 29 goals in 2011-12 and had 25 goals in 29 games during the lockout; however he has just two goals in the 2013 season. During an interview with CSNNE, Julien mentioned getting more out of the dynamic center. "We know we can get more out of him," Julien told CSNNE.com. "It's a matter of pushing him and it's a matter of him pushing himself. He hasn't been a poor player, but I think there is more that's expected of him. I think there's more that he can give us."

Boston will take on a struggling Buffalo Sabres team that they defeated recently. Buffalo managed to defeat the New York Islanders on Saturday thanks to stellar keeping from Ryan Miller, but fell apart against Ottawa in a 2-0 loss on Tuesday. Coach Lindy Ruff recently told reporters that he was responsible for the loss and would fix the problems. "It is on me," he said. "I understand that. This is on me to clean it up."

This is the third meeting between the two clubs. The Sabres opened the season series with a dominant 7-4 win but were tamed by the Bruins in the more recent 3-1 loss.

Predictions: Boston and Buffalo skate to a 1-1 draw in overtime. Buffalo wins in the shootout.
