If the Charlotte Bobcats didn't have a good enough reason to trade Ben Gordon before this week, they may now. Bleacher Report says the shooting guard got into an argument with head coach Mike Dunlap that could encourage the team to deal him by the deadline a week from Thursday.
Gordon played for the UConn Huskies for three seasons, leading the Big East team to an NCAA Championship in his final season there. He was drafted one spot behind his former teammate Emeka Okafor, being selected third overall in the 2004 NBA Draft. The English-born Gordon spent his first five professional seasons with the Chicago Bulls and was with the Detroit Pistons for the past three seasons. His first in Charlotte may end up being his last.
Gordon scored 20.7 points per game in his final season in Chicago (2008-2009), but his four seasons since have been the lowest he has ever had. Despite his numbers being on the way down, he may be part of a deal that involves a couple of bad contracts just to give the players some new scenery.
