The Phoenix Coyotes will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they take on Nashville Predators.

After shutting out the San Jose Sharks over the weekend, the Coyotes took down the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in overtime after overcoming a 2-1 deficit. Captain Shane Doan provided the winner, his fourth goal of the season. The main reason for the Coyotes victory was a solid penalty kill that left the Avalanche scoreless on four tries and key saves from Goalie Mike Smith. "That's a testament to our PK guys," Doan said. "Guys were blocking shots and Smitty was unbelievable."

The Nashville Predators have won four of six games in February but have won just once in their last three tries. In their last win, the Predators shut out the San Jose Sharks 1-0. Colin Wilson scored his fourth goal of the season at the 2:08 mark of overtime to secure the victory. Goalie Pekka Rinne made 25 saves in the effort and recorded his second shutout of the season.

"I thought the third period we were the better team and I think that momentum kind of carried us to the overtime," Rinne said. "Obviously, it was great to see that (goal) go in."

This is the second meeting of the season between the two clubs. The Coyotes dominated Nashville 4-0 on Jan. 28. Antoine Vermette, Lauri Korpikoski, Nick Johnson, and Keith Yandle were the goal scorers for Phoenix while goalie Chad Johnson made 21 saves to earn his first shutout of the season.

Predictions: Both teams are playing extremely well and it should feature two solid performances from each side's respective goalie. Mike Smith and Pekka Rinne will make the difference.
