Honda has debut its new CTX model line at the Chicago International Motorcycle Shows last week. Based off the same Parallel Twin NC700X that debuted in 2012, the new CTX700 and CTX700N models will be available this spring and feature an automatic transmission, antilock breaks, and a slew of features for new riders.

"These new models introduced today are just the first in a whole new family of CTX products of various displacements and engine configurations that will be rolled out in the future," said Honda Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino. "These first CTX machines share the same engine as the NC700X and place a premium on lightweight handling thanks in part to a low center of gravity, ergonomics that translate into day-long comfort, distinctive Urban Roadster styling and fantastic value."

The CTX700N model equipped with DCT/ABS starts at $7,999. It features a liquid cooled 670cc Twin engine, six speed transmission, and chain final drive. The seat height is 28.3 inches and the rakes stretch to 27.7 degrees. It includes a single 320mm disc front/240mm rear brake system and a steel frame chassis and 41mm fork. The CTX700N has a fuel load capacity of 3.17 gallons and will be available in Cool Candy Red and Black.

The CTX700 has the same specifications as its sister model. Its only set apart by its upper fairing. The standard model starts at $7,999 with the DCT/ABS-equipped CTX700D selling for $8799. Both models feature heated grip, tall windscreen, and luggage options.
