O.J. Simpson invited fellow inmates to watch the Super Bowl from inside his 80-square-foot prison cell at Lovelock Correction Center in Nevada, according to the New York Post.

Simpson is serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery, but still managed to procure a television for the big game.

"If you have the money, you can buy a TV at the inmate store and put it in your cell," Simpson's friend Norman Pardo said.

And it also appears that Simpson is quite the popular inmate at the correctional facility.

"He's like the Godfather of the prison now," Pardo said.

Pardo is looking to sell a movie about the maligned ex-NFL player called "Unpromotable."

The film is about Pardo's attempt to rehabilitate Simpon's public image after the infamous double murder trial in 1995 where Simpson was acquitted.

"It shows what it's like to promote the most unpromotable man on the planet," Pardo said.

At least Simpson revived his image from within the prison walls and will have the opportunity to score more popularity points, as he will most likely be there until at least 2017 before he is eligible for parole.

Simpson was accused of being involved in an armed robbery in 2007.

The retired football player claimed that he and five other men were just trying to retrieve sports memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel room.

"I didn't want to steal anything from anyone," Simpson said during the trial. "I'm sorry, sorry."

But Judge Jackie Glass sentenced Simpson to 33 years in prison with parole eligibility after less than a third of that time.
