The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is on newsstands now, and it features two of the most popular models right now in Katherine Webb and Kate Upton. For the second straight year, Upton is the cover model, this time clad in an open winter jacket and a bikini bottom while in the Antarctica shoot.
Webb has a few different looks, including shoulder pads, an Alabama football jersey and a jersey that is half Auburn, half Alabama. Miss Alabama USA may be the only person to get away with wearing that last shirt, given her history with both teams. The Tide and Tigers are bitter rivals, playing the Iron Bowl for bragging rights throughout the state each year, but Webb went to Auburn and is dating Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron.
Webb will be on ABC's Celebrity Diving, which airs starting in March. She was a correspondent for Inside Edition before and during Super Bowl XLVII after earning the spotlight just a few weeks earlier. In the BCS Championship Game, Alabama blew out Notre Dame, so much of the focus on the game's story had to do with ancillary characters like Webb, who was sitting in the stands with McCarron's mother.
While Webb was busy racking up Twitter followers because of ESPN Broadcaster Brent Musburger's comments, Kate Upton made a stab at a an ex-boyfriend of hers. Upton tweeted, "It's okay Notre Dame this happened to the Jets every week.
Upton used to date New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. She has been linked in one way or another to plenty of other athletes.
