When you think of a typical televised emergency alert you think of potential road floods, heavy snows, and maybe powerful winds...all but a zombie alert? That's exactly what happened on TV sets across some counties in Montana.

On Monday, during the Steve Wilkos Show an emergency alert message scrolled across the top of the screen and read "dead bodies are rising from their graves."

The alert was quickly taken off the air by the broadcaster, KRTV, followed by an apology and explanation of what may have happened.

"Someone apparently hacked into the Emergency Alert System and announced on KRTV and the CW that "dead bodies are rising from their graves" in several Montana countiesZ,This message did not originate from KRTV, and there is no emergency. Our engineers are investigating to determine what happened and if it affected other media outlets," a statement on KRTV.com says.

The video of the alert can be seen on Gawker.com.

There is been much talk among policymakers in Washington D.C. about the threat of cyber warfare and the doomsday-like threat it poses to the nation. But its safe to say that zombies are not one of those threats as the dead in Montana are resting in peace.
