According to the Miami Herald, autopsy results indicate that "Miami Zombie" Rudy Eugene was found to have no human flesh in his stomach. The autopsy did reveal that there were unidentified pills in his stomach.

The results suggest that although Eugene was seen ripping off his victim's face with his teeth, he did not actually swallow the flesh.

Weeks ago, Eugene attacked homeless man Ronald Poppo and chewed off parts of his face in what was dubbed as a "zombie attack" around the world. The crime was initially blamed on the consumption of "bath salts," a recreational drug that has become increasingly popular in the Miami area where the attack took place. According to CNBC, the drugs are said to have possible psychotic effects, and have been known to increase the temperature of the taker, which may have explained why Eugene stripped off all of his clothes before attacking Poppo.

Bath salts however, are typically consumed by inhaling the light powdery substance and are certainly not the pills found in Eugene's stomach. The Miami Herald states that it may take weeks for forensics to determine the toxic make up of Eugene's stomach, and to investigate what ingredients were contained within the pill capsules.

The news comes days after Eugene's girlfriend Yovonka Bryant stated that her boyfriend was a loving person and not the monster that the media has made him out to be.  It was also revealed that Eugene was a Christian and was known to use Bible verses in discussions with his friends.

A funeral was held Saturday for Eugene, which was attended by more than 150 people.

Poppo is now recovering at Jackson Memorial Hospital and has undergone a number of skin grafts to help repair his seriously damaged face.
