As expected, Sega announced new DLC packs for Aliens: Colonial Marines, including "Bug Hunt," which will be available as a single purchase or part of a Season Pass.

"A season's worth of downloadable content, including campaign and multiplayer packs, will begin shipping in March," writes GameSpy.

"First up on the calendar is Bug Hunt, Aliens: CM version of horde mode, with a TBA March release date. No word yet on when the other DLC packs will launch. As per the ongoing DLC trend, you can pick up all four DLC packs at once by purchasing a Season Pass for $30 or you can pick and choose, paying $10 - $15 for each as they're released."

OXM is more specific, saying "Bug Hunt" arrives March 19: "Bug Hunt is due to drop on 19th March 2013, and apparently has a value of $14.99. Whether that translates to it actually costing $14.99 (1200 MP) remains to be seen."

Some gamers have been complaining that horde mode was supposed to be included as a standard option in Aliens: Colonial Marines. Well, it's not, but it is free if you preorder at Wal-Mart, apparently.

"Sega did just send me an additional press release stating that Bug Hunt will be free... if you preorder Aliens: Colonial Marines at Walmart. Otherwise, you'll have to pay $15 for it," says GameSpy.

Whether wishful thinking or a miscommunication, "Bug Hunt" is an extra. It comes with three maps and wave after wave of facehugging Xenomorphs. More updates on the other three DLC packs as they become available.
