It has been 13 games since Manchester United lost in Premier League play. On Sunday the team faces its first major challenge in a long time when it takes on Everton.

On August 20, Sir Alex Ferguson's team suffered its first loss of the season against Everton. A 57th minute strike by Marouane Fellaini sealed the Red Devils fate and got their season off to a rough start. However, Manchester has never looked better this season than in the last few months where the team has looked invincible. Robin Van Persie is a bonafide MVP candidate with 18 goals on the season but he has not scored in the last two matches played for Manchester. Instead, Wayne Rooney has stepped up and showcased his greatest with some big goals at key moments. Who knows if either of these two stars plays on Saturday as Manchester eyes its major tilt with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

While this match is important for Manchester to maintain its lead atop the league standings, the game is probably more meaningful for Everton. David Moyes' team currently holds fifth place in the league but only has a one point lead over sixth place Arsenal. A loss for Everton could put them behind in their bid to earn a Europa League or Champions League berth.

Prediction: I do not think that Ferguson fields his entire club. I think a 2-2 draw will be the end result.
