Kate Upton continues to soar into supermodel stardom, all the way from Antarctica. The blond bombshell just landed her second consecutive feature on the cover of the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.

The news was meant to be kept secret until an announcement made on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday, Feb. 11. TMZ reportedly spoiled the surprise when they published a photo of Upton, 20, in Antarctica wearing bikini bottoms and a white jacket with nothing underneath. The tabloid then revealed that the photo would grace the cover of this years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.

Sports Illustrated confirmed the news soon thereafter and publicly released the cover photo. Upton's seductive outfit reflecting in the icy arctic snow makes for a stunning cover that's grabbing people's attention well before the edition's release.

This marks the second year in a row that Upton landed the cover of the annual swimsuit edition. The young model's career took off after her 2012 cover appearance, and since then, her work with Vogue and photographers like Terry Richardson and Steven Meisel has quickly carried her straight to the top.

In 2012, she was ranked the 5th sexiest model on MODELS.com's Top Sexiest Models and snagged the number three spot on the American publication of AskMen's Top 99 Women for 2013.

Upton, along with the other swimsuit models from this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition will appear on the Late Show with David Letterman on Feb. 11 to promote the issue. Upton will also sit down with Letterman for a one-on-one interview.

As career endures, Upton will undoubtedly continue to melt hearts as well as the arctic.
