Earlier this week, one Philadelphia 76ers fan bought 18 tickets to a game at the Wells Fargo Center on StubHub for $.04, and paid less than a dollar after the ticket purchase fee. The Sixers are tied for 19th in the NBA in attendance this season, averaging 16,253 fans per game, which is exactly 80 percent of the arena's capacity. Which team from each league is most likely to bounce back from a disappointing number?

In the NBA, we'll take the Sacramento Kings' franchise. The California capital's only major league pro team is drawing only 13,214 fans per game. If the team moves to Seattle (which it is one step closer to doing), it would definitely get at least an initial bump in attendance. After all, the Sonics had only one season of fewer than 15,000 fans in their final 14 years in town. An old arena was the driving force in Clay Bennett moving the team to Oklahoma City, and there are now plans for a new building downtown. This year's NBA attendance numbers are here.

In the NHL, the New York Rangers are currently 22nd on the list in average attendance. With Madison Square Garden receiving a face lift, it may inspire more fans to visit the world's most famous arena and see one of the Eastern Conference's best teams play. The Rangers live in the largest market in the country and were only one step away from the Stanley Cup Finals last season. You can see the attendance numbers for the lockout-shortened NHL season here.

Major League Baseball might see a big jump from another large market: Toronto. The Blue Jays have been an afterthought in the city since winning their last World Series in 1993. With the Maple Leafs doomed for yet another miserable season and the Blue Jays having the most bold off-season moves in all of baseball this winter, the Jays are primed to make the playoffs and improve upon their 23rd rank in last year's attendance standings. Toronto's baseball club drew 25,921 fans to the Rogers Centre in 2012. All of MLB's 2012 attendance totals are here.

The NFL doesn't have the same volume of attendance issues as the other three leagues, though there are still some markets that struggle to fill their respective stadiums. For instance, according to the seated fans percentage, the Washington Redskins have the most room to grow among competitive teams in the league at 86.9 percent of capacity, but they're drawing the third-highest total in the NFL at 79,654 fans per game. The best team with a relatively low attendance is the Minnesota Vikings, but the Vikes fill 94.7 percent of the seats, with a new stadium in the works. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the closest thing to a noticeable bump in attendance we predict for 2013. The NFL attendance stats are here.
