The Pittsburgh Penguins (6-3-0) look for fourth straight win when they take on the New York Islanders (4-3-1) on Tuesday night.

The Islanders have a three game winning streak against the Penguins dating back to last season's final two matches. This season they took down the Penguins 4-1 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. The Islanders would win their ensuing battle in New Jersey 5-4, but lost their home game on Sunday 3-0 to the Devils. The Islanders had seven power plays but failed to score on a single one.

"We just weren't functioning properly. They were winning all the puck battles," said Coach Jack Capuano. "Nabokov kept us in the game, especially in the second period when they came at us hard. Nabby gave us a chance to win the game."

Since being embarrassed by the Islanders last Tuesday, the Penguins have pulled off three straight victories. The team shutdown the Rangers 3-0 last Sunday and then trampled the New Jersey Devils 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. On Super Bowl Sunday, the Penguins defeated the Washington Capitals 6-3. With the victory the Penguins put themselves one point behind the Boston Bruins for first place in the Eastern Conference.

Previous Meetings: The Islanders won the last meeting on Jan. 29 by the score of 4-1. John Tavares scored a goal and added an assist while Matt Moulson had a two point night with a goal and assist. Pascal Dupuis scored the lone Pittsburgh goal.

Predictions: The Penguins are on fire and will defeat the islanders 6-3.
