The most anticipated match in the quarterfinals is the battle between Nigeria and Ivory Coast on Sunday.

The Ivory Coast won Group D with two wins and one draw. In the opening match against Togo, the "Elephants" got goals from Yaya Touré and Gervinho on route to a 2-1 win. In the following match, Gervinho, Touré, and Ya Konan scored in a 3-0 win over Tunisia. Ivory Coast finished out its final match of the group stage with a 2-2 draw against Algeria; Didier Drogba and Wilfried Bony were the goal scorers.

Nigeria ended up with five points in Group C. The team kicked off its tournament with a 1-1 draw against Group winner Burkina Faso. Emmanuel Emenike scored in the 23rd minute but the team gave up a goal in the fourth minute of second half stoppage; the goal forced Nigeria to settle for just one point. Emenike scored in the ensuing match against Zambia, but the team blew the lead in the 85th minute on a penalty goal from Mweene. Nigeria finally figured out a way to win against Ethiopia thanks to a brace from Moses.

Leading Scorers

Nigeria: Moses, Emmanuel Emenike (2)

Ivory Coast: Yaya Touré, Gervinho (2)

Prediction: This match could go either way as each team has a strong chance of winning. However, look for Yaya Touré to continue his clutch play and lead Ivory Coast to a 3-0 win.
