It is upon us. Super Bowl weekend. While the masses are making plans, buying absurd amounts of beer, making their 'world famous' dips, and ironing their team's jersey, advertisers are gearing up for their biggest night of exposure. To them, it's worth the $3.8 million for the 30-second slot. The Super Bowl attracts the largest television audience on record, making it worth all the blood, sweat, and dollars pumped into this Sunday night's commercials.
Although advertisers save their best for the big day in attempt to shock and awe their audience, some companies air 30-second promos to their 60-second commercials a week or two prior in attempt to hype up viewers (for a commercial?). Others choose to post their commercials online, but wait to air them on television until the big day. Unfortunately for some, their ads leak and are exposed before Super Bowl Sunday, destroying any hope of suspense.
And to further ruin the advertisers dreams, here's a small collection of commercials you'll see during the big game, just in case you miss a few in between pizza slices and beer funnels.
Pepsi Next - Party
Budweiser - The Clydesdales: Brotherhood
Priceline - Dojo
Axe - Lifeguard
GoDaddy - Perfect Match
MilkPEP - The Rock in Morning Run
Coca-Cola - Mirage
Dunder Mifflin - Paper War with Cat
Please, take some time to enjoy these, for you may be too distracted on Sunday to catch them all. Enjoy the gluttony, enjoy the ads, and enjoy the game! Comment below on which commercial you liked most.
