After falling last week to the Miami Hurricanes by 27 points, the Duke Blue Devils dropped from first in the AP Top 25 to fifth. The Blue Devils bounced back with a 20-point win over rival Maryland on Saturday and play their first game of the week Wednesday night against the Wake Forest Deacons at 8 pm EST.

Duke is led by senior Mason Plumlee is points (17.4) and rebounds (11.2) per game, as well as field goal percentage (.582).

Freshman Rasheed Sulaimon led all scorers with 25 points in the game against the Terps, setting a career-high for the Houston native.

In the previous match-up this season between Duke and the Deacs, the Blue Devils maintained their undefeated record with an 80-62 victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium on January 5. Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly each notched 22 points, while Plumlee had 12 boards and Quinn Cook added 14 assists. Travis McKie tied Kelly's and Curry's mark of 22 points for the visiting team, but only two other players had more than five points in the loss.

The Deacons have lost three of their last four contests, with the only victory over the only ranked opponent in that span (#18 North Carolina State). The bout with the Wolfpack was the only one of the four games at home.

Only three players had nine or more points in the most recent loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, an 82-62 blunder on Saturday. In the win over their in-state rivals, the Deacons snuck past the ranked team 86-84 on the strength of 25 points by freshman Devin Thomas.

The aforementioned McKie leads Wake Forest with 15.1 points per game and eight rebounds per contest. The team leader in assists, Codi Miller-McIntyre, averages only 2.8 helpers per game.

The next games for both teams are on Saturday. Duke travels to Florida State while Wake Forest will be in College Park in a tilt with the Terrapins.
