Pokémon fans are very devoted to the franchise, even asking for a "Pokémon State."

As "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" are still nine months away from making its worldwide debut, a fan took to the White House's "We the People" petition page and called for each state to adopt a Pokémon.

"With the increasingly widespread use of technology and the ever increasing popularity of Pokémon I and many others believe that it is very important that the government recognize them," stated the petition.

According to The Daily Dot, the petition collected 760 signatures, a far number from the 24,250 signatures needed for President Obama's administration to respond to the petition.

The lifespan of the petition was short as the "We the People" moderators took down the petition.

"Thanks for your interest in We the People, a new tool on WhiteHouse.gov that allows all Americans to ask the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country," the site now says. "The petition you are trying to access has been removed from the site under our Moderation Policy because it is in violation of our Terms of Participation."

"While you can't sign this petition, there may be other petitions on We the People on a similar issue that you'd like to add your name to. Or, you can create your own petition," added the White House petition site.

So, it appears Florida won't have Totodile as their Pokémon or Watchog guarding the U.S. and Mexican borders in Arizona.

Pokémon fans do have the sixth generation games to look for as it plans to launch in October across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.

The new 3D game will feature three new starter Pokémon and will give the franchise enough pocket monsters to go over the 700 milestone.

Pre-orders are being accepted by Amazon and GameStop.
