According to this article, Joe Flacco is looking for huge money this coming off-season, comparing his performance in the playoffs this to Peyton Manning's. It's easy to cherry pick stats and pit them against the top names in a given sport, but it may be one of the more convincing arguments he has. The issue isn't whether or not Flacco has been good this post-season. It's whether or not he can keep that up in future years, and also be effective enough during the regular season that his team gets its chance to shine in Januarys (and Februarys) to come.

Flacco's father was brutally honest in his assessment of his son, stating that his son is "dull." Joe did show some life at least one day, his wedding. It's interesting to hear that Joe's dad isn't willing to credit many of that day's funniest photos to the groom.

Speaking of blunt statements, Flacco revealed his feelings toward outdoor Super Bowls in the same manner. He maintains that people would not like the idea of having the big game in a potentially harsh climate. League officials claim that preparing for such an occurrence is no different than the planning for indoors Super Bowls or those in warmer areas.

In this year's NFL Playoffs, Flacco has eight touchdown passes (more than doubling his previous playoff high) and is yet to throw an interception. (Flacco had three interceptions in each of his first two playoff campaigns, and followed that effort with one pick in the following two years.) He has almost doubled his previous total passing yards high and is averaging more yards per attempt than ever before in post-season play. His passer rating has gone up each of the last three playoff years.
