There's good news all around for owners of some of Samsung's older handsets. Both the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2 will be upgraded to Android Jelly Bean soon enough, and now it seems we have a definitive time frame for those on Canada's Telus network.

In an official statement, Telus informed customers on its network that the Samsung Galaxy Note and 4G Samsung Galaxy S2 will have Jelly Bean rolled out to them in Feb. 2013 - in other words, it should be pushed out over the air in the next couple weeks. The schedule also noted that the HTC One X and HTC One S will get their Android 4.1 updates in Jan. 2013 (and they have).

We reported earlier that a report had surfaced that Jelly Bean was being pushed out to Galaxy Notes in Poland. The information turned out to be false, and Samsung still hasn't officially rolled out the update just yet. The South Korean electronics manufacturer has, however, put up a webpage detailing some of the new features on the way, including Premium Suite, which gives the Galaxy Note the Multi Window feature.

Galaxy S2 owners, however, are slightly luckier. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is currently rolling out for the handset in Spain and China, with more countries bound to follow soon. Another false report (Android updates are always confusing) claimed that the United Kingdom was receiving Jelly Bean, but it turned out the tipster had merely downloaded the version from Spain using a rooted device.

Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2 owners with carrier tied devices here in the United States, as is the norm, will receive these updates much later, after the wireless networks have had their fun stuffing it with bloatware. Still, the wait won't be too much longer, although one can never tell for sure with Android upgrades (those on Verizon's network know this well). Stay tuned to Latinos Post for the latest on who's receiving Jelly Bean and where.
