Sunday night the new season to the hit show "Pequenos Gigantes" 2 will premiere on Univision.

The show, which is hosted by Mexican actress Galilea Montijo, is determined to find the future talent of Mexican show business. Children are put into teams in which each team competes in dance, singing and acting. Each team is then judged by a panel of judges and every week one team is eliminated by the audience vote.

Last year the program was such a big hit and as a result this year the auditions for the program were not only in Mexico but expanded to the United States. The auditions were held in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and Miami. Out of the thousands who auditioned only nine children were chosen. They are Athena, Jarek, Altair, Nicole, Briget, Rommel, Gretchen, Geofrey, and Max. The children were later brought to Mexico City.

Ruben Galindo the producer of the show stated that "they looked for very talented people to form the next Mexican generation."

Mexican Broadway star Bianca Marroquin (Chicago), Mexican singer Maria Jose, and Comedian Manuel" El Flaco" Ibanez will return as judges. Mexican Actor Arath de la Torre will join the panel in his return to television after the hit Soap Opera "Una Familia con Suerte." Additionally singer, composer and presenter Jimena will return to the backstage scene interviewing the children and their parents.

Last week the program introduced the new teams and new participants. They were joined by stars Latin Lover, Hector Sandarti and Julio Camejo. Additionally a couple of last season's finalists Darina, Montserrat, Hiroshi, Magaby, Miguel Angel and Jorge joined the teams.

Last season winners Magaby, Miguel Angel and Hiroshi became recognized for their incredible voices.

The show is part of Univision's new programming lineup for 2012-2013 which was announced back on May 15th. Univision is the top rated Spanish network in the United States.

The program airs this Sunday June 2nd at 8pm on Univision.
