In his most recent film project, actor Ashton Kutcher from That '70s Show and Two and a Half Men stars in the Steve Jobs' biopic "jOBS." Josh Gad from Broadway's Book of Mormon and TV's 1600 Penn also stars in the film as Jobs' friend and Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak aka "Woz." The creators of the movie, which is based on the mayor moments of late Apple co-founder's life, released a sneak-peak of the film in anticipation to its release on April 19. In the clip, Jobs is seen talking about his vision to create a home computer that would be purchased widespread to Woz who appears apprehensive about it.
"This is freedom! This is freedom to create, and to do and to build, as artists, as individuals," Jobs enthusiastically explains . "Look! You're over-reacting! Even if you were developing this for freaks like us, and I doubt you are, nobody wants to buy a computer, nobody!" responds Woz with skeptism. To which Jobs convincingly replies, "How does somebody know what they want if they've never ever seen it?"
According to a press release, the movie is directed by Joshua Michael Stern, written by Matthew Whitely, recorded by Oscar-winning cinematographer Russell Carpenter and produced by Mark Hulme and it focuses on the milestones and people that influenced Steve Jobs the from 1971 through 2001. In October 2011, Jobs died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 56.
jOBS premieres on Friday at the Sundance Film Festival.
