Shakira is now 'bump' free and her new son Milan Pique Mebarak has been one of the major news stories of the day. Little has been known about the child up to this point, but Pique and the couple's respective families have finally spoken about the birth.
Pique told reporters that he was nervous during the childbirth but that "It was special" and that "It was a once in a lifetime event." He also admitted tearful eyes when he held the child for the first time according to Telemundo's 'Al Rojo Vivo'.
Shakira's sister Lucy and her parents also stated that Pique and Shakira were emotional.
Additionally, the arguably most famous latino baby in the world has already received a plethora of presents and tons of attention on Twitter.
A picture surfaced on Twitter showing Pique with the Vice President of Barcelona. Both are holding a tiny Barcelona jersey that has the baby's name written on it.
Friends of Pique have also extended their congratulations via Twitter. Manchester City star Sergio Aguero sent him congratulations. He wrote "@aguerosergiokun
Welcome, Milan Pique Mebarak! Congrats to @Shakira and @3gerardpique! What gift would you like for the baby: a mic or some cleats?"
Barcelona teammate Cesc Fabregas (@cesc4official): "Congratulations to my friends @3gerardpique and @shakira, welcome Milan Piqué Mebarak! Looking forward to meet him! Hugs to all 3!"
Even Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos tweeted: "I would like to congratulate @shakira and @3gerardpique in the name of Colombia and my family for the birth of their child."
