Rapper Chris Brown has become the latest celebrity victim of the "swatting" prank making the rounds around Hollywood. According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Los Angeles police stormed into Brown's Hollywood Hills home on Monday afternoon.

Authorities had received a 911 call reporting a domestic violence incident in the rapper's home involving a gun shortly before 5 p.m., the Los Angeles Times reported. TMZ reported that the caller claimed that a mother and father were arguing and that the father had gone to get his gun.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the caller told police that he wasn't sure if the mother had been shot. The caller then hung up without mentioning that the home belonged to Brown.

Police arrived at the Hollywood Hills home to find no evidence of a dispute or a gunman. Brown was not home during the incident, TMZ reported. According to the LA Times, members of Brown's staff were at his home and his parents arrived shortly afterwards to search the home.

This prank is just the latest in a string of "swatting" incidents involving celebrities. The prank usually involves an anonymous caller who reports a fake crime to police that requires a tactical response, the LA Times reported. Past celebrities pranked include Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber and Kris and Bruce Jenner.

The LA Times reported that a 12-year-old boy has been charged in the prank reports involving Canadian pop star Justin Bieber and actor Ashton Kutcher.
