Mexican actor/singer Pedro Fernandez recently told reporters that he would love to work on his next soap opera with the actress/singer Thalia.
After a concert Fernandez stated that he would like to return to acting and if he had the choice to pick the leading lady he would choose Thalia. However he stated that before picking he would first have to land the project.
Fernandez admitted that he did not have the power to choose the cast as the producers and writers are the ones who most likely have a cast in mind when they start a project.
The singer also spoke about his recent soap opera which he completed entitled "Cachito de Cielo." The series tells the story of a woman who falls in love with a priest and also stars Mexican actress Maite Perroni. Fernandez said that the project brought him many surprises due to its controversial subject matter.
However, after this novela no one has offered him anything. Fernandez stated that he hopes he could get more interesting projects like that one.
Fernandez is currently working on his next CD, which he hopes will be an audience favorite. Pedro Fernandez returned to television in 2009 for "Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe" after a 15 year hiatus. The series won numerous awards and resurrected his acting career.
