Earlier today, Barack Obama was sworn in for a second term as President of the United States. About 800,000 spectators stood outside of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. to watch him give his inaugural speech which focused on equality and building a united and prosperous nation. Former American Idol Kelly Clarkson graced the stage with a stellar rendition of "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" followed by superstar Beyonce who gave a show stopping performance singing the National Anthem.

After the day's festivities, President Obama and the First Lady will prepare for a big night at the Inaugural Ball among 35,000 expected attendees. The Presidential Inaugural Committee will also be hosting one other ball, the Commander-In-Chief's Ball, which will honor service men and women and their families. Four thousand active-duty and service members, Medal of Honor recipients and wounded soldiers and their spouses are expected to attend.  Because of an error, tickets for the inaugural balls went on sale a day early and sold out before the intended sale time, leaving many party hopefuls without admission.

However, the biggest inaugural party will occur tomorrow night as rumors swirl that Lady Gaga will be headlining the party. According to the Associated Press, sources say that the Mother Monster will perform for President Obama's staffers. Though it has not been confirmed, Gaga's tour schedule conveniently leaves her Tuesday night open and free to attend the secret post-Inauguration Day party.

She has been a longtime supporter of the president. Last September, she tweeted that "#IfObamaDontWin i say we try to build a new planet and all go live there."
