The Sundance Film festival is known as one of the biggest markets in the country and it is where most distributors go to when they are looking for new films to add to their yearly slates. Various films have already been picked up distribution while many pictures are still looking for buyers.

One of the films acquired is "Don Jon's Addiction" which is in negotiations with Relativity Distribution. The company stated that it was fully committed to a wide theatrical release and insiders stated that the bid was for $4 million. Additionally it was stated that the film was the highest bid at the Festival. Josephy Gordon-Levitt directs and acts as a porn-obsessed New Jersey bartender whose addiction stands in the way of having a meaningful relationship with a woman played by Scarlett Johansson. Julianne Moore co-stars as a classmate who teaches him about the importance of intimacy.

Another film acquired included Michael Winterbottom's "The Look of Love" which premiered on Jan.19. The film stars Steve Coogan and Imogen Poots. "Love" tells the true story of Paul Raymond (Coogan), the man behind Soho's Raymond Revue Bar and Men Only magazine, who quickly became one of the UK's wealthiest men, but at the expense of his friends and family. The film was acquired by IFC and has taken Studio Canal's US rights.

A24 also acquired "The Spectacular Now" for an undisclosed amount. The film starring Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller tells the story of two adolescent teens whose budding relationship blurs the line between saving and corrupting. The distributor stated that it plans on releasing the film in the summer.

Other films obtaining multiple offers include the Daniel Radcliffe starrer "Kill Your Darlings" and the Casey Affleck film "Ain't Them Bodies." David Gordon Green's "Prince Avalanche" and Lake Bell's "In a World" are also causing a lot of buzz at the festival and have offers from many distributors.
