A new trailer for the upcoming film "The Brass Teapot," featuring actresses Juno Temple and Alexis Bledel, have some wondering if Temple could take over the lead contender spot for the role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey." According to Gather Entertainment, the 23-year-old actress "seems to be the actress out to prove that she'd make the best Anastasia Steele."

Both actresses appear in the trailer of the film, which will be released in April 2013, with Temple showing off a kinkier side than Bledel. The trailer, which features a couple (played by Temple and Michael Angarano) searching for ways to make money off of a magical teapot, has the two leads engage in some bedroom fun involving sexy lingerie and a whip. Despite being the right age for the highly coveted role of Anastasia Steele, Temple lacks the big blue eyes and delicate features needed for the role, Gather reported.

Also playing against her is the massive support Bledel ('Gilmore Girls') enjoys from many "50 Shades" fans. Fellow actresses Emilia Clarke ('Game of Thrones') and Felicity Jones ("Like Crazy") also enjoy enormous fan support from fans. In the latest Latinos Post fan poll, Clarke dominated with 50.06 percent of the votes (405 out of 809), beating out old favorites Bledel (17.06 percent) and 'The Vampire Diaries' actress Nina Dobrev (7.42 percent).

Unlike their male counterparts, the actresses in contention for the part of Anastasia Steele have largely remained quiet about being thrown in the race--save for an interview or two with Felicity Jones.

However, fans will undoubtedly have to wait a while to find out who will play their favorite characters in the highly anticipated film. The film's script has yet to be completed and the production team has not decided on a director-two things that author E.L. James and screenwriter Kelly Marcel said were crucial steps in the casting process. Other than Marcel, the project has signed on producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti.

"50 Shades of Grey," which would be the first film in the three-book series, has not set a release date yet.
