It is the penultimate day of the 2012 Republican National Convention (RNC), and set to headline tonight's festivities is Mitt Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan.

Tonight's series of events will first feature speech from Senator Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Another important speaker tonight is Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, who is in Tampa instead of his governing state as Tropical Storm Isaac drenches the state.

Paul Ryan's speech will put him in the spotlight since his announcement as Romney's vice-presidential running mate a few weeks ago.

The 42-year-old Wisconsin representative's speech is speculated to focus on his life, the economic status of the US since he is chairman of the House Budget Committee, and further plans if reaching to the White House.

It should be seen if Ryan will make remarks regarding Medicare and women's reproduction rights. Ryan has been criticized on his stance for cuts in Medicare, the federal health insurance program for seniors, and the decision to co-sponsor a bill which would define rape.

Ryan's primetime speech comes 24 hours after New Jersey Governor Chris Christie delivered the convention's keynote speech.

Christie's message during his keynote was "truth," and said Obama is hiding the truth from Americans regarding's the country's status.

"See, I know Mitt Romney, and Mitt Romney will tell us the hard truths we need to hear, to put this back on a path to growth and create good paying private sector jobs again in America," said Christie. "Mitt Romney will tell us the hard truths we need to year to end the torrent of debt that is compromising our future and burying our economy."

Christie helped promote Ryan, and Romney, as someone that America needs "right now."

Ryan's speech and other events from the RNC is streamed live, below. If the video isn't cooperating click here.
