After strong criticism against Luis Miguel circulated during the weekend on his alleged lack of support for victims of hurricanes Manuel and Ingrid in Acapulco, one of the places most damaged by the storms, the "Sol de México" replied by sending two planes loaded with supplies to the region.

According to information published by website Hola.com, the singer of "La Incondicional" discretely responded to the accusations against him and without making any statements to the media, like Alejandro Fernández and Eugenio Derbez did on Mexican television. Luis Miguel sent two planes with supplies to the port of Acapulco, where he lived for many years.

According to the same source, "El Sol" wanted to send the supplies as discretely as possible. However, the news was heard by a Mexican radio show, which prompted numerous comments on social networks.

Some media revealed that this is not the first donation the artist has made to the residents of Acapulco. According to Mexican newspaper Milenio, in past days, Luis Miguel made a donation through the "Guerreros Poblanos" campaign, which was promoted by the media and Mexican celebrities, among them his brother, Alejandro Basteri.

In this manner, Luis Miguel joins the lists of artists and celebrities who aided the thousands of victims in various states of the Mexican Republic after the intense storms of last week.

It's worth remembering that last month, Luis Miguel participated in a series of videos which purpose was to promote tourism and the natural beauties of Guerrero.

Along with the state government, the "Soy Guerrero" campaign had an impact among fans of the singer, one of the most noteworthy former residents of Acapulco, which caused many to criticize the artist's alleged lack of support to the residents of the port.
