Cuban singer Elain shared his new single titled "La Reina," with which he pays homage to the late Celia Cruz, shared Terra.

In an interview shared by the same website, the singer assures that he is a faithful admirer of Celia Cruz. "It was a debt I owed Celia. I'm a faithful admirer of her as an artist, teacher and human being. I never had the chance to meet her, or be her friend, but I always had empathy to her music," Elain shared.

The song Elain composed, "La Reina," was inspired by the music Celia Cruz left behind. The article also points out that Elain presented his song in the TV show "Sígueme" as well as presenting material and previously unseen pictures of the late Celia Cruz given to him by Omer Padillo, the late singer's agent.

"She's an artist that inspires and motivates me when I make music. It was a gift to be able to collaborate with Omer Padillo, we're really thankful for this dream made true," Elain said.

He also added that the song has been well-received by the public after being presented in the TV show. The website explains that the song "La Reina" will be included in the next studio album by Elain titled "Mi Paraíso" which can be currently bought on iTunes.

"The song has transcended internationally in countries like Spain, where it's already playing in local radio stations," said the young singer and songwriter, expressing his happiness.

Regarding his altruistic activities, Terra explains that Elain is currently in the third phase of his campaign against domestic violence called "Sin Pasaje de Regreso." Thanks to the campaign, he is now a part of the "Artists Network ÚNETE" developed by the Secretary General of the United Nations.

"We're working hard with the third phase of this campaign, which began months back with the support of Hispanic TV network Mega TV," the artist said.

He is also currently working on his album "Mi Paraíso," which he wants to release in late 2013. The new album will feature "jazz fusion, son montuno, bossanova and flamenco" so that people can get to know the songwriter's unique style.
